Sanātana Dharma is not a religion — it is the eternal way of being. It is not bound by time, geography, culture, or any single founder. It is the cosmic truth, the universal law, and the timeless order that governs all existence — whether or not humans recognize it.

Reviving Timeless Wisdom for the Modern Seeker
From scriptures to science, meditation to mythology, and ritual to reason — Sanātana Dharma is the path of inquiry, harmony, and self-discovery.
Explore the eternal through:
- The wisdom of the Vedas and Upanishads
- The symbolic depth of epics like the Mahābhārata and Rāmāyaṇa
- The insight of yogic sciences
- The cosmic vision of karma, dharma, and rebirth
What Does “Sanātana” Mean?
Sanātana (सनातन) = Eternal
That which was, is, and always will be. It transcends time, form, and belief. Even Devas, Asuras, planets, and galaxies follow its rhythm — whether humans recognize it or not.
What Does “Dharma” Truly Mean?
Dharma (धर्म) ≠ Religion It is that which upholds.
- The dharma of fire is to burn
- The dharma of water is to flow
- The dharma of humans is to live in alignment with truth, purpose, and inner nature
“धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः”
Dharma protects those who protect it
— Manusmṛiti 8.15
The Four Yugas – Eternal Time Cycles
Time, in Sanātana Dharma, is cyclical, not linear. Creation and dissolution unfold in vast cosmic rhythms:
| Yuga | Duration (Years) | Dharma Level |
|---|---|---|
| Satya Yuga | 1.728 million | Dharma at 100% |
| Treta Yuga | 1.296 million | Dharma at 75% |
| Dvāpara Yuga | 864,000 | Dharma at 50% |
| Kali Yuga | 432,000 | Dharma at 25% (current age) |
A full cycle of these four is called a Mahāyuga (Great Age).
We are currently in the Kali Yuga, in the 28th Mahāyuga of the 7th Manvantara, under the rule of Vaivasvata Manu.
The True Goal of Sanātana Dharma
Sanātana Dharma does not seek conversion, control, or belief. Its goal is realization.
- 🕊️ Live according to Dharma, not dogma
- 🔍 Know thy Self (Ātma Jñāna)
- 🌌 Flow with the universe (Ṛta — Cosmic Order)
This is the path to liberation (Mokṣa) — not through force, but through truth, practice, and wisdom.
“तत् त्वम् असि”
Tat Tvam Asi — Thou Art That
— Chāndogya Upaniṣad 6.8.7
(The eternal Self and you are not separate — you are one with the ultimate reality.)
